A plant for life…
Dracaena is derived from the Greek “drakaina”, which means female dragon. That these plants were once called this is the result of the fact that a number of Dracaena species, such as Dracaena cinnabari and Dracaena draco, have red juice. It used to be thought that this was dragon’s blood that dragons lost in their struggle with elephants.

Decorative foliage
Our entire Dragontree® assortment is also available as decorative foliage. Dracaena as decorative foliage can be used in various ways; as a stem in arrangements or as loose leaves in a bouquet. It is also possible to place in a stick in the bottom of the cutting, making it perfect to use in larger bouquets or floral designs or artwork.
The vaselife depends on the way the Dracaena cuttings are kept; with or without water. In the packaging, the cuttings will stay fresh up to two weeks. When you place them in water, the cutting will remain fresh for four to five weeks. Be aware that if you keep them on water for a long time, water roots will develop which is called ‘hydroponics.
Decorative foliage cuttings are best kept between 12°C and 18°C. Each variety has its own charm! From lengthy leaves to curls and twists with a length ranging between 12.5 and 30 cm. Discover the possibilities yourself!
